About Me
My Experience
I graduated from SJSU in 2003 with a B.S. degree in Industrial Design, the youngest female in my class. I chose to remain in Silicon Valley with its multitude of opportunities in many industries. I have designed and manufactured custom parts and technical furniture. I have managed numerous design projects and led Engineering programs. Large companies such as Sun Microsystems/Oracle and Stryker had me focus on very specialized job roles for a few projects. Smaller companies, such as Extron, offered more extensive responsibilities, expanding over time to include authority over current and historical engineering projects.
My Skillset
Design for manufacturing has greatly developed and expanded my skillsets. Years of meeting with potential and existing customers taught me to design products based on their needs, desires, and budgets. I generate conceptual and manufacturing drawings using several different CAD platforms, such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo and even Adobe; whatever the vendors need in order to be successful in providing quotes or final products. I develop and manage the bill of materials for multiple projects, including the planning and purchasing aspects. I document assembly instructions for production and oversee the builds on the production floor. Unexpected issues that arise are handled with confidence and solutions are found quickly and efficiently.
My Goals
My goal is to serve the company, my peers and the customers to the absolute best of my ability. I take pride in my work and expect that my colleagues do as well. I value integrity, transparency, communication, and trust. I offer abundant patience and a strong desire for all to succeed. My preference has always been to take on more challenging projects where I can expand my knowledge as well as exercise the skills I already have. I have the ambition to work for a company I believe in and where I can be a positive long term addition. I am looking for my forever home and hope I can find it with you.
